Universal and electronic waste includes batteries, thermometers, fluorescent lamps and small electronics. Many of these items contain contaminants like lead, cadmium, mercury, beryllium, or brominated flame retardants. Do not place these items in your trash. Seek out a recycling option or location for proper disposal.

City of Auburn residents may request a pickup of E-waste and universal waste at your home one time per month by calling Recology at 530-885-3735. Place items on your curb on the appointed day.
